Do The Medical Screenings Expire?

Do The Medical Screenings Expire?

No. Once purchased, the respirator medical screenings are credited to your account and do not expire. Use them at your leisure.

The medical clearances themselves do not expire, but they must be redone if any of the work conditions or equipment listed on the evaluation change.

"This company did great! I have been using another online site for med eval for respirator use but, if the person did not pass they would have to go to a doctor in town and be charged much more. Where as XO would ask you to call doctor to have a conversation. A+ so far."

"Very quick and easy to purchase and gain almost instant access to testing. Employees were easily able to navigate online medical questionnaire and results have been email typically within 5 minutes of completing each questionnaire. Will continue to use to meet our OSHA testing requirements. "

Respirator Medical Screenings Requirements

In 29 CFR 1910.134(e)(1) OSHA describes the requirements for medical screenings. It states:

Using a respirator may place a physiological burden on employees that varies with the type of respirator worn, the job and workplace conditions in which the respirator is used, and the medical status of the employee.
The employer shall provide a medical evaluation to determine the employee's ability to use a respirator, before the employee is fit tested or required to use the respirator in the workplace. The employer may discontinue an employee's medical evaluations when the employee is no longer required to use a respirator.
The employer shall identify a physician or other licensed health care professional (PLHCP) to perform medical evaluations using a medical questionnaire or an initial medical examination that obtains the same information as the medical questionnaire.
