Accommodating transgender employees in the workplace has gotten a lot of attention in the news lately. OSHA has released some best practices for the subject.
OSHA recommends that employees be allowed to use the facilities that correspond with their gender identity. They also encourage employers to provide additional options, such as:
- Single-occupancy gender neutral bathrooms.
- Multiple occupant gender neutral bathrooms with lockable single user stalls.
